Abstract

in the paper the protection methods, which are proposed in the literature for the protection of current transformers against overvoltages after disconnection the secondary circuits, are considered, their design disadvantages are defined. The author proposes a protection system of current transformer against secondary overvoltages, the efficiency of which is confirmed by the results of the computer simulation and the laboratory experiment.
