Abstract

The choosing of solvent is important for extraction processes. In case of using common heat transfer methods only the solubility of the target components in the solvent is relevant. When methods of microwave assisted extraction are used, it is also important to use solvents having polar molecules. Non polar molecules have less ability to rotate in microwave field, therefore has lower energy distribution efficiency.
