In this paper an overview of approaches to the modelling of heterogeneous systems (liquid-liquid) in the microreactor was performed, mathematical models of various chemical reactions in microchannels published in the literature was considered and the comparison of theoretical and practical experiments was executed. Based on the generalized data, it has been proved the feasibility of microstructured reactor application for the process of silica surface functionalization in order to carry out the synthesis of innovative sorption materials. The next stage of this research is to develop a mathematical model of the process and its implementation by means of special software environment.
