The paper presents a efficiency criterion of CFD-modelling for the research of ultrasonic flowmeters. He is a relative error of reproduction of mass flow rate in the i-th section 3D layout measuring pipeline. The authors investigated the influence of this criterion of effectiveness various options CFD-modelling.

Modelling of Sol-Gel Synthesis of Functionalized Silica Materials in a Microreactor

In this paper, the optimal parameters of the process of silica surface functionalization in the microreactor were studied based on the developed mathematical model: the residence time distribution, the flow velocity, the concentration profile. Detailed investigation of fluid dynamics in the microvolume reactor channel was solved using CFD models.

Modelling of Heterogeneous Systems in Microreactors

In this paper an overview of approaches to the modelling of heterogeneous systems (liquid-liquid) in the microreactor was performed, mathematical models of various chemical reactions in microchannels published in the literature was considered and the comparison of theoretical and practical experiments was executed. Based on the generalized data, it has been proved the feasibility of microstructured reactor application for the process of silica surface functionalization in order to carry out the synthesis of innovative sorption materials.
