The problem of development of a miniature, cost-effective, terrestrial platform for military applications is considered. Solutions from leading foreign and domestic companies and research laboratories on the design and testing of terrestrial research autonomous systems are analyzed. The hardware complex was built as a small-sized autonomous platform using state-of-the-art electronic components such as the ESP8266 chip, GPS and GSM modules to provide autonomy and orientation in space capability. It will be able to carry a Geiger-Muller counter and set of measuring instruments. By increasing the load capacity of the device, it is possible to install additional modules, in particular a photo or video camera.
