Abstract
The decentralization of the governance system in Ukraine causes the emergence of new processes and phenomena in the social development of rural territories as a result of strengthening the regional level of governance, drastic changes in the organization of life of rural communities and the search for new forms of implementation of the main functions of local self-government at the local level, focused on self-organization. Ukraine is rapidly implementing decentralization reform with significant economic and social risks. Possible directions of development of rural territories in the conditions of decentralization of management, its influence on the organization of life of rural communities are considered in the article.
