Complex Metaphor in the Novel of Cecelia Ahern “Thanks for the Memories”

Abstract 

The paper aims at describing the unique techniques of secondary metaphorisation an Cecelia Ahern’s writings. The examples of combination of primary metaphors to form complex ones are analyzed, which reveals the peculiarities of metaphor as a trope.
