Abstract

Land valuation is one of the tools that contributes to the creation of well-functioning land and property markets, as well as to the improvement of financial markets, labor markets, investment, fiscal revenues of local and national budgets and, finally, economic development and well-being of both local communities and the country. Updating the methodological framework for land valuation is becoming necessary, and in this context geographic information systems (GIS) play an important role, providing valuable assistance through their core functions. The application of GIS in various types of automated cadastres meets the needs of modernity for the implementation of spatial information management projects for all subjects and economic entities. The result obtained after the collection of data for land valuation should testify to its real value, which will increase the market capitalization of land resources in order to attract credit and investment assets to ensure the transformation of the country's national wealth into highly liquid capital.
