Remarks and suggestions to the authors of the article

The paper builds upon the authors' previous research and conducts a comprehensive analysis of the current status and future prospects of research on Ukraine's protected areas (Nature Reserve Fund- NRF) using geoinformation mapping. This research is particularly significant due to the increasing emphasis on environmental conservation and the necessity for advanced tools to efficiently manage natural resources.

The paper showcases the conceptual model and the experience gained from creating a database for the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine in the Poltava region. It clearly delineates the next steps in the research, which include aligning the NRF databases with the principles of the National Geospatial Data Infrastructure. The suggestion to develop a comprehensive geoecological atlas of the NRF based on this foundation is especially promising. Such an atlas would be a valuable resource for policymakers, researchers, and the general public, enhancing their comprehension and management of Ukraine's natural reserves.

There are areas that could be improved upon. It should be acknowledged that the ideas developed by the authors are a continuation of the National Atlas of Ukraine concept. While the paper mentions the creation of multifunctional interactive maps and atlases, it does not elaborate on how these tools are utilized by various user groups.

In conclusion, the paper contributes significantly to the field of geoinformation mapping of natural reserves in Ukraine. The research could potentially serve as a blueprint for similar endeavors in other regions and countries.
