Two characteristic  situations  are  sequentially  considered -high  initial  content  of  the  substrate,  relatively  low oxidation  rate  (no  inert  zone);  low  substrate  content,  high  oxidation  rate  (inert  zone  exists).  The  exact solutionof  the  mathematical  problem  are  obtained  and  compared.
