This paper provides the results of drivers functional state research for those, who are working on city bus routes. These results are necessary for further investigations of driver’s psychophysiology. Actuality of this issue consists in the necessity of taking into account of the driver’s stress level which is one of the key factors of his behavior in complex traffic situations.

Effect of Road Surface Equality on the Driver's Functional State

The driver is a key element in the system of interaction "driver - vehicle - road - environment". About 70 - 90% of all failures falls on errors of this subsystem. One of the main indicators that reflect the willingness of the driver to the professional activity is its functional state. The aim of this work is to identify the dependence of values of the driver's functional state of road surface equality.

Analysis of the traffic`s flow distribution by the types of drivers’ temperament

This paper shows the results of the survey of determining the ratio of drivers by types of temperament in the transport flow that are necessary for further studies of driver’s psychophysiology. Actuality of this issue consists in the necessity to take account of the driver’s type of temperament as the main road traffic participants, which is one of the key factors of any behavior in difficult traffic situations.

The work describes the features of studying the functional state of road users by recording an electrocardiogram. Reviewed different methods of research. Presented requirements for modern cardiographs and devices that meet these requirements. Also was conducted a brief description of the software for the processing of research results.
