Kinetics study of the finely dispersed limestone thermal decomposition reaction

Termogravimetric studies on four various fractions diameters particles of calcium carbonate used in the industrial cyclone-calciner furnace for manufacturing of lime were carried out based on linear increase of the temperature. The values of activation energy E, preexponential factor A in Arrhenius equation, as well as the mechanism of the particles thermal decomposition reaction were defined. The work results provide important data to further study the efficiency of the limestone thermal decomposition chemical reactions and optimizing furnace design and operation modes.

Rheological Investigation of Sol-Gel Systems Based on 3-Methacryl-Oxypropyl Trimethoxysilane

The influence of various factors (temperature, concentration of starting substances and catalyst of sol-gel process) on the rheological behavior of sol-gel systems on the basis of the organic-inorganic precursor – 3-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane – was investigated by viscosimetry. The elastic and friction components of viscosity were estimated from the gradient dependence measurements using the optimization method. The integral activation energy of the gelation process in the studied sol-gel systems was calculated
