Abstract

According to the results of structural interpretation of remote sensing data of the Earth and topographic maps and their geological analysis for the territory of the Novostepanivsko-Yevetska Area of the Dnipro-Donets Depression, a framework of discontinuity faults and zones of stress-strain state of rocks of the earth's crust was identified. An electronic structural and tectonic shematic map was compiled by means of geographic information systems. This map reveals the disjunctive-plicative structure of the sedimentary cover of the study area, as well as the development of subvertical geodynamic zones and zones of nonuniformities in the geological section, activated at the current stage of tectogenesis. The results obtained in combination with the materials of geophysical, geochemical and other research methods will in the future become the basis for evaluating the relative openness and fluid permeability of known and assumed structures of disjunctive origin, and therefore for ranking them according to the degree of influence on the processes of formation of hydrocarbon traps.
