Abstract 

This study presents an approach to developing a geoinformation mapping system for dangerous burial sites of animals that died from anthrax. The proposed geoinformation mapping framework is based on a set of interconnected models of a geospatial database and a knowledge base. The approach improves the efficiency of impact assessment by structuring various types of data, enabling their analysis and visualization. In developing the geoinformation mapping models, a set of data and knowledge required for assessing the risk of disease spread was identified and systematized. Geoinformation mapping enables the creation of thematic maps that help determine the locations of previous anthrax outbreaks, delineate risk zones for disease spread in cases of soil disturbance caused by emergencies (such as earthquakes, floods, or shelling), support the planning of sanitary measures, and restrict access to hazardous areas. Based on the developed models, a prototype was physically implemented in ArcGIS Pro for a test area, and thematic maps were constructed.
