Abstract

The study presents the results of the systematization of paleopedological studies of Holocene sediments (soils) in Ukraine, which is implemented in the form of a web-based GIS application. The framework of the web application using cartographic libraries and the spatial database of the study was proposed and built. The collected results of the database contain information about 162 soil transects and their information descriptions. The proposed database can be a basis for analyzing paleogeographic conditions and predicting future environmental changes.  The project was implemented using QGIS and MongoDB tools, as well as cloud platforms to provide access to data.
