Modification of Polypropylene Melt-blown Fibers by Photopolimeryzation of Acrylic Acid

The main objective of this study was to find the method of polymer fibrous filter modification which cause the increase in the oil droplets filtration efficiency. An attempt was made to affect on the fibers wettability, by changing among others the surface roughness. The tested filters were made of polypropylene using the melt-blown technique. They were modified via photopolymerization - UV irradiation, together with the monomers Acrylic acid (AA). Modified materials were tested by high quality test bench for measuring filtration efficiency of nanodroplets

The Effect of Poly (vinyl chloride) and Filler on Technological Properties of Polyester Composites

The paper determines the influence of polymer modifier (poly (vinyl chloride)) and finely dispersed inorganic filler on the elastic-deformation and thermophysical properties of polyester materials. The research discovers the change of deformation modulus, elasticity modulus, high elasticity modulus, surface hardness, Vica heat resistance, and technological shrinkage of modified polyester composites filled with calcium carbonate and aluminum oxide.

Influence of poly(vinyl chloride) and polymer-silicate fillers on the properties of polyester resin

The influence of polymer modifier poly(vinyl  chloride) (PVC) and polymer-silicate fillers on the physicochemical regularities of structuring of unsaturated polyester resin have been investigated. It has been ascertained that addition of Zn-silicate fillers in polyester composition leads to slower curing speed, and the introduction of Ni-silicate fillers and PVC leads to accelerate the process of curing polyesteroligomers. Physical-mechanical and corrosion properties of polyester materials modified by polyvinyl chloride and polymer-silicate fillers have been determined.
