Abstract

The work is devoted to the optimization of the observation space when performing terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) based on the analysis of multiple observation zones and the selection of the minimum number of observation points that maximize the visual coverage of the selected area during the study of green areas. NLS involves the use of maximum resolution and careful selection of scanning locations. When using the sorting method, the number of terrain points increases rapidly, which leads to a rapid increase in the computational requirements for multi-view site planning. In this work, we propose an algorithm for filtering candidates' points of view with an improved Monte Carlo method for planning TLS when mapping recreational areas of settlements and inventorying green spaces.
