Background. The hazard of erosion-denudation processes in urban areas is highly relevant in the context of global challenges of urbanization and climate change. These processes pose threats to infrastructure, public safety, and economic activities.
Materials and methods. The study presents the results of fieldwork carried out together with students on the right-bank slope of the Dnipro River within the city of Kyiv, in the park zone of Holosiivskyi Forest, focusing on two gullies – Holosiivskyi Provall and Didorivskyi.
Results. The research included an assessment of landslide hazard and slope stability under technogenic pressure. LiDAR surveying of a hazardous area (the head of the gully) was performed, and a 3D model was constructed to determine the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the destroyed landslide-prone zone. Detailed field surveys and morphological descriptions of the gullies were conducted to clarify the causes and consequences of anthropogenic impact. The negative influence of stormwater discharges on the ecological state of the environment and the recreational value of the territory was identified.
Discussion and conclusions. Geoecological analysis and interpretation of the obtained data made it possible to specify the features of hazardous slope processes development and to outline preventive measures. The most influential geological and technogenic processes affecting the ecological state of the urbanized zones of the metropolis were identified.
