Abstract

Organic-inorganic membranes were successfully synthesized by UV-initiated polymerization of acrylic monomers with simultaneous formation of inorganic component via sol-gel process of 3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MSPTMS)-based system. The investigations of membrane characteristics indicate that materials possess high proton conductivity, thermal and chemical stability and are good candidates for fuel cell application.
